Chamber Honors Top 100 Students
On April 25th, the Chamber hosted the 53rd Annual Top 100 Scholastic Banquet honoring Piqua students from Lehman, Upper Valley Career Center and Piqua High School.
The keynote speaker, Dr. Richard Adams, a graduate of The Ohio State University and former State Representative for Ohio, gave an enlightening presentation encouraging students to follow their dreams and suggested guidelines for consideration to achieve success in the future. He encouraged each student when preparing a homework assignment, working on a project or a job task to ask themselves the question, “Is that the best you can do?”
We thank Dwayne Thompson, Superintendent of Piqua City Schools, for allowing us to use the Piqua High School facility and Chamber Ambassadors, Matt Cox, Jeff Hemm, Jim McMaken and Randy Sever who assisted to help the evening run smoothly.
The Piqua Chamber could not honor these deserving students without the generosity of our sponsors, especially our lead sponsor, French Oil Mill Machinery Company. Our appreciation goes out to Dan French and the following Top 100 Sponsors: Dick’s Paint & Body Shop Inc., GK Electric, Harmony Systems & Service, Hartzell Propeller Inc., Heartland Federal Credit Union, Jackson Tube Service Inc., Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home, Kiwanis Club of Piqua, Koverman Staley Dickerson Ins., McCulloch Felger Fite & Gutmann, Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, Miami Valley Steel Service, Mullenbrock & Associates, Murray Wells Wendeln & Robinson, Mutual Federal Savings Bank, Jack & Cheryl Neuenschwander, P&R Specialty Inc., Palmer Bolt & Supply Co., Piqua Battery, Piqua Concrete Co., Piqua Granite & Marble Co.
